Volcanic & Seismic Activity

TODAY: M6.0 at Northern East Pacific Rise + M6.0 near Isangel, Vanuatu — GLOBAL SEISMIC UPTICK

Two strong earthquakes registered by the USGS as M6.0 have hit today, Jan 18 — the first was WSW of Isangel, Vanuatu at 13:18 UTC and the other was at the Northern East Pacific Rise at 16:40 UTC.

The agency is reporting a depth of 45.1 km (28 miles) for the Vanuatu earthquake and a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles) for the NE Pacific Rise quake.

No Tsunamis are expected.

And there are very few people living within close proximity of either quake.

However, they do continue the uptick we’re seeing globally.

Seismic and Volcanic activity has been correlated to changes in our sun.

The recent global uptick in earthquakes and volcanic eruptions is likely attributed to the drop-off in solar activity, coronal holes, and the increase in Galactic Cosmic Rays penetrating silica-rich magma.
