As a UK citizen now resident in Portugal (where I’m preparing for the coming societal collapse) I returned to the UK over the holiday season to visit family. I knew it was a risk but I owed it to my kids — unfortunately now though, my fears have been realized: the UK government has locked us all in the country.
The English government along with its devolved parliaments in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have all issued “stay at home” orders to their citizens until at least the end of February.
According to government law, I may only leave the house to shop for basic necessities, to exercise with members of my household or one other person–but even this should be limited to once per day, and I can’t travel outside my local area. I can exit my front door to seek medical assistance or avoid injury, illness or risk of harm (including domestic abuse–thank you government), and I may go to work, but only if it is impossible do so from home, and only if my place of work is still open, as 90% of the country has been closed down, only essential shops are open.
The government has also advised all UK citizens against international travel, something I’m worried they may also put into law–but as it stands, both French and Spanish authorities have already made my life hard in that regard: in order to travel to these countries from the UK, which I had planned to do as I need to tow supplies back to Portugal (via both France and Spain), my family is now required to provide negative PCR tests, we need to prove we don’t have COVID to exit the UK, at a cost of £150+ a test–tests known to regularly give false positives.
But why is Europe panicking again?
All viruses mutate, and COVID-19 is no different. UK officials were made aware of a particular new strain of COVID back in September, but it wasn’t until Christmas that the government went into full-on “fearmonger” mode.
In a spectacularly stupid own-foot-shooting move, England’s disgraced Secretary of State for Health and Social Care announced to the world, on live television, that the new COVID-19 variant detected in England was “out of control”. As a result of this hyperbolic idiocy, France immediately shut all borders with the UK, a week before Christmas no-less, and many other nations were quick to follow suit, meaning British citizens were now trapped in the country, and that’s where we’ve been ever-since.
This article wasn’t supposed to be about COVID-19 itself, but it must again be stressed that this virus shows all the hallmarks of a seasonal flu strain with its very similar infection and mortality rate. The UK’s death-toll from COVID-19 officially stands at 76,000, however, the UK classes any death within 28 days of a positive COVID test as a COVID death. Which is absurd. No other country classifies deaths this way, and this and this alone is the UK’s figures appear so bad when compared to those of other nations (also, can anyone explain these official UK government figures? Analysis of data for statutory notifications of infectious diseases (NOIDS) in England and Wales in 2020 shows very few COVID-19 infections, let alone deaths: the NOIDS report for the final week of 2020 reveals that there were just 85 COVID-19 cases in the England and Wales–on page 14).
Fortunately, at the eleventh hour of 2020, myself and my family attained residency in Portugal, and I’m hoping this is our golden ticket to re-entry. While the rest of the United Kingdom may have left the European Union (I consider Brexit a good move overall, we need to combat globalism wherever we can), my family have remain residents of the EU, and although there are no clear instructions on whether this will help, it has to: the EU is big on free movement, its one of the key pillars of the union. And I won’t have long to find out. I’m currently packing-up the truck and trailer, and we plan to set-off next week. If we gain entry into France then I think we’re all good as there should be no border-checks or fancy requirements between EU member states, meaning we should be clear to drive into Spain and then into Portugal without any hiccups — it is just that passport and COVID-check after the ferry docks in Caen, northern France that I’m worried about — if we’re going be to turned away, then it’ll likely be there.
Wish us luck!
UK Energy Prices hit Record Highs as Arctic Cold Persists
Admittedly we’re still only in the first week, but the UK –now in a full nationwide lockdown due to the plandemic– is on for one of its coldest January’s on record, and as a result, energy prices have climbed to an new all-time record high.
Plunging temperatures and a drop in wind turbine power generation have pushed UK electricity market prices to a new high and prompted the National Grid to put out an urgent call for suppliers to provide extra capacity.
The National Grid control room warned that its spare electricity supplies would be “tight” this week, and on Tuesday issued an official call for generators to bring forward an extra 524 megawatts of electricity capacity within 24 hours.
Electricity market prices have surged tenfold in a day to reach a new record high of £1,000 per megawatt hour, as colder than normal temperatures and lower electricity generation left a dent in Great Britain’s power supplies, reports the Guardian.
The country is falling apart.
Please let me out!
The COLD TIMES are returning, the mid-latitudes are REFREEZING in line with the great conjunction, historically low solar activity, cloud-nucleating Cosmic Rays, and a meridional jet stream flow (among other forcings).
Both NOAA and NASA appear to agree, if you read between the lines, with NOAA saying we’re entering a ‘full-blown’ Grand Solar Minimum in the late-2020s, and NASA seeing this upcoming solar cycle (25) as “the weakest of the past 200 years”, with the agency correlating previous solar shutdowns to prolonged periods of global cooling here.
Furthermore, we can’t ignore the slew of new scientific papers stating the immense impact The Beaufort Gyre could have on the Gulf Stream, and therefore the climate overall.
Prepare accordingly— learn the facts, relocate if need be, and grow your own.
