Sierra Mountains Log Up To 6 Feet Of October Snow

Heavy snow has been pounding the higher elevations of the Western U.S. in recent days, with record-challenging accumulations hitting some peaks and summits.

Early measurements on Monday saw totals nearing the 2 feet mark as a Level 5 out of 5 atmospheric river met with a descending Arctic air mass:

As the day progressed so did the snowfall totals.

So far, up to 6 feet of global warming goodness has been registered in some parts–at elevations above 8,000 ft.

The latest GFS model (shown below) reveals that this heavy, early-season snow is set to persist through Tuesday and Wednesday, with another round of bone-chilling lows and record-breaking snows clipping large swathes of the North American continent next week:

Record Cold Sweeps Scandinavia

Scandinavia’s much anticipated Arctic blast peaked on Sunday and it didn’t disappoint, delivering record low temperatures and heavy snowfall.

As reported by mkweather.com, a total of 9 meteorological stations across Sweden and Finland reported morning minimums in the -20 to -25C (-4 to -13F) rang. A low of -24.6C (-12.3F) was observed in Nattavaara — Scandinavia’s coldest October temperatures for 15 years (since 2006).

Regional record October lows were also registered: Latnivaara, Sweden, for example, suffered -23.5C (-10.3F); Nikkaluokta, also Sweden, logged -23C (-9.4F); while Salla, Finland observed -21.5C (-6.7F).

The -24C originally registered in Nattavaara (since confirmed as -24.6C).

The mkweather.com article links Scandinavia’s “extreme early cold blast” to 1) a persistent NAO phase, and 2) an “anomalously cold Arctic” which has led to impressive ice growth (only 3 years out of the last 15 have seen a higher Arctic sea ice extent).

The mk article also recalls the recent record October low registered on the Greenland Plateau where an automatic meteorological station measured an “excessively low” -50.8C (-59.4F) last week — a record reading for mid-October.

Accompanying Scandinavia’s big freeze, northern parts of Sweden, Norway and Finland have all reported anomalous dumps of snow totaling as much as half a meter (1.64 feet) — “such high snow cover hasn’t been measured here in October in decades”.

After a brief reprieve, “anomalously cold winter conditions should return already around late November and in December and early January,” concludes the mk article, “when, according to many sources, extreme Arctic and Siberian blasts in Europe are possible.”

“Remarkable” Cold Spell Hits Hong Kong

After a toasty start to October, Hong Kong is now suffering what is being described as a “remarkable” cold spell.

On Friday, October 22 the mercury at the Hong Kong International Airport dropped to 16.8C — the weather stations second lowest October temperature in recorded history (beaten only by a reading in 1997–solar minimum of cycle 23).

Nearby Tai Moh Shan Peak plunged to 9.9C — HK’s earliest reading below 10C also since 1997.

Today’s article was a quick one. I have a meeting scheduled at my local town hall here in central Portugal. I’m trying to obtain planning permission for a small house. I don’t speak much Portuguese, they don’t speak much English — this should be fun...

The COLD TIMES are returning, the mid-latitudes are REFREEZING, in line with the great conjunction, historically low solar activitycloud-nucleating Cosmic Rays, and a meridional jet stream flow (among other forcings).

Both NOAA and NASA appear to agree, if you read between the lines, with NOAA saying we’re entering a ‘full-blown’ Grand Solar Minimum in the late-2020s, and NASA seeing this upcoming solar cycle (25) as “the weakest of the past 200 years”, with the agency correlating previous solar shutdowns to prolonged periods of global cooling here.

Furthermore, we can’t ignore the slew of new scientific papers stating the immense impact The Beaufort Gyre could have on the Gulf Stream, and therefore the climate overall.

You ought to make an account at https://gab.com/home, and register for one at https://truthsocial.com/ as both are sites that will NOT censor your links or articles. In fact I often post them there as do several others I know of. Give them a try and experience social media liberty! Btw I work for neither and get absolutely nothing from them, I simply want to see more of YOUR posts/info at a place that doesn’t censor.

WoW! Donner Pass 415% above average!
It’s already 10% of total for the season! 41 inches over 400 inches!
I have been to Donner Pass in a Big Rig back in 97. It was like running a bobsled rather than truck driving. Coming out of Sacramento the snow on the side of the road kept rising & rising until it was even with the top of the cab 12 feet on both sides, just like a bobsled trail.
If this maintains, the total season snowfall will be around 1600 inches!
If this is unimaginable, consider the 702 people in Texas that did not imagine a freezing Valentine’s Day 2021!!! That was the unimaginable cold I predicted 20 Sept 2020. Then the mainstream censored me, replacing my link to the sunspot data in that Before It’s News post with a new reporting website that wiped out the third month of the 30+ days of no sunspots so they could claim global warming was the cause of wavy jetstream! Not really real til it happens to you!

Been a warm wisconsin fall so far, next week temps drop off to below normal temps a bit on november 1st. Getting snowblower tuned up this weekend, furnace tuned up, fireplace safety checked. Bring on winter. I want as much suffering for all the libtards in Madistan, wi As possible!

Ahh, Madtown … as they say, “70 square miles surrounded by reality.”

Re: My post above about Donner Pass.
Of course the 1600 inches will seem perfectly normal as it will be caused by a anamolous even caused by say the La Palma volcano eruption to say 80,000 feet creating a year without a summer for us, 2022.
Now this will only be a setup for the winter 2022-23 after the Sept Sun-Earth-Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions subject us to more volcanos/earthquakes while sucking the earth further away from the sun, dimming it and shutting down photosynthesis. Then another year without a summer 2023 awaiting the Grand Finale of Nov-Dec 2024 when the two conjunctions are closest together before the two gas giants start spreading apart again for 8 years before they get back to “normal”. Hopefully the plants can keep making enough oxygen for us all to breathe during this time. This may be the reason behind the virus situation. TOO many persons breathing oxygen for 2-6 years, eating too much food while photosynthesis fails to produce.
So the need to capture CO2, as the Mars Curiosity experiment proves CO2 could be converted into a backpack sized O2 supply!
WoW! About the time you think you have a figured out, a new twist comes along!!!! DS

The Jupiter/Saturn alignment was a year and a half ago , you missed the whole show. By Dec ’24 they will be far apart and we’ll be in solar max. Get a grip.

Odd that NOAA, NASA, and other climate shill websites aren’t talking about the rebound in Arctic sea ice extent and area. Prior to 2021,the trend line is in a steep decline; today, that’s largely erased.

Arctic sea ice extent is more deeply impacted by winds than the climate experts want to admit; it would be interesting to find out how the cloud situation was this summer, and if that had any impact on both the Greenland ice sheet as well as >80°N sea ice conditions.

    1. Matt Dalby

Arctic sea ice particularly on the Russian side of the Arctic is also influenced by the amount of relatively warm water entering the Arctic Basin, particularly from the Atlantic. Therefore it is influenced by the Atlantic Multi-Decadal Oscillation (AMO). This has been in it’s positive phase for roughly the last 40 years, hence declining sea ice. Before that the AMO was in it’s negative, cooling, phase meaning that sea ice levels were at unusually high levels in the late 1970’s just as satellite monitoring started, giving the impression of catastrophic decline. Sadly there are no accurate measurements of sea ice for the last time the AMO was positive (say 1930-50), however some Arctic weather stations such as those in Greenland recorded temperatures as high as those recorded in the past decade or so.
There is a book called “Arctic Riviera” that was published in the 1950’s (at the end of the previous positive phase of the AMO) and has sadly not been republished since, that is based on a Scientific expedition to East Greenland and talks about rapid warming and melting ice sheets.
This is all evidence that the climate is cyclical and therefore can’t be controlled by CO2.

I believe it was an October snowstorm which stopped the Donner Party in their tracks. Hopefully all the Bay Area transplants will get to see a real Sierra winter this year and send them back to their mask wearing commie shithole SF suburbs with tails between legs.

    1. Matt Dalby

If I’ve remembered correctly the Donner party was in the late 1840’s, i.e. towards the end of the Dalton Minimum. The end of one Minimum (Dalton) is starting to look like the start of another one (Eddy).

Australian tyrants promise to FLOOD the country with virus-transmitting vaccinated people… global biowar aims to REMOVE humanity before the coming “big event” – a major incoming Ice Age Ahead famine and die-off. Wow. Even Mikey is starting to wake up to the reality of the eugenical timing preceding the ’big event’ (but the mass ww death by low O2 suffocation part was a bit off the scale… but he’s gettin’ there) Cheers.
Looks like help is on the way;)

We predicted the current global cooling and green energy failure way back in 2002. The Greens predicted we would burn up by now – their big FAIL.

Our scientific predictions are infinitely more accurate than the mainstream narratives, which have been false and baselessly alarmist to date.

It’s not the imbeciles who say stupid things that we have to worry about, it’s the morons who believe them.
