SE Europe Crop Loss: Coldest April Morning in a Decade arrives during Key Blossoming Stage

Regions of SE Europe experienced their coldest April mornings for a decade on Thurs, April 2, just as vineyards and orchards entered crucial blossoming stages. According to severe-weather.eu and thewatchers.news, large parts of SE Europe have experienced almost 100% damage.

Late last week, brutal Arctic air engulfed much of Europe, with the Southeast nations of Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, and Hungary worst affected.

The mercury plunged to -5.9C (21.4F) in Buzet and Pazin, Croatia; while Slovenia reported decade-lows of -9.4C (15F) and -8.6C (16.5F) in Iskrba and Logatec, respectively.

Other nations reported even chillier lows:

Italy’s orchards have also been badly hit by anomalous Spring cold. As reported by freshplaza.com, some 50% of Gala and Golden apples have been destroyed across Italy’s NE.

Alessandro Morini, a producer with roughly 40 ha (99 acres) in the Verona Province, said the situation “does not look good.”

“I have verified that 2 or 3 out of 5 flowers are black, so they will not produce. It is often the first bloom that is lost, the one producing the best fruit, leading to a sensible drop in general quality,” said Morini.

“It’s no longer possible to perform chemical thinning, so we will have to perform it manually. However, labor is hard to find. I am practically on my own dealing with 40 hectares. It is not easy and I will not be able to keep up this rhythm for long. Something needs to be done when it comes to labor or we will all deal with serious problems. I truly hope the frost expected for this period does not make things worse,” concluded Morini.

Much of Europe has been suffering with unseasonable cold of late.

Portugal, to the west, experienced rare Spring snowfall earlier in the week:

While many other parts of the continent have also been battling the violent buckling of the jet stream which has delivered rare bouts of April Arctic air…

…all a sign of the times, a sign of the intensifying Grand Solar Minimum.

The COLD TIMES are returning –despite noisy warm-mongering political agendas– in line with historically low solar activitycloud-nucleating Cosmic Rays, and a meridional jet stream flow.

NASA’s forecast for this upcoming solar cycle (25) reveals it will be “the weakest of the past 200 years,” and the agency has correlated previous solar shutdowns to prolonged periods of global cooling here.

Our future is one of ever-descending COLD & CROP LOSS.
