Winter has arrived early this year at Nakiska Ski Resort — situated west of Calgary, Canada.
Matt Mosteller, spokesman for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, said two record-breaking snowstorms have set the stage for an early opening:
“To have the type of storms we’ve had this early in the season — sometimes you get one of them, but to have two really big ones is amazing,” Mosteller said.
And as a result, the resort has announced it will be holding its earliest opening weekend ever in its 31 year history, on October 26 and 27:
This is how glaciers form.
This is also how ice ages begin.
The cold times are returning in line with historically low solar activity.
Even NASA agrees, in part at least, with their forecast for the next solar cycle (25) revealing it will be “the weakest of the past 200 years,” and they’ve correlated past solar shutdowns to global cooling here.
