Brutal Arctic cold continues to take names across the Canadian province of British Columbia.
Kelowna and Penticton are the latest cities to be booked, according to data from Environment Canada.
The mercury plummeted to -8C (17.6F) in Kelowna on Tuesday morning, busting the previous record low for the date of -7.2C (19F) set way back in 1935 (solar minimum of cycle 16).
And it got even colder in Penticton, the low of -8.7C (16.3F) observed there beat-out the old record of -7.5C (18.5F) from 1991.
