There’s been a lot of snow in parts of the Upper Peninsula, reads the opening line from a mlive.com article. But the weather-record broken yesterday is for cold temperatures.
The National Weather Service in Marquette reports it’s been 197 days since the temperature hit 60 degrees at their offices — that stretch surpasses the old record of 196 days set back in 1970.
The last time Marquette reached 60 degrees was way back on Oct 03, 2018.
It would appear the cold times have already descended upon Michigan.
