M6.9 Earthquake — 61km SW of L’Esperance Rock, New Zealand

There is no one living within 100 km (62 miles) of the epicentre, and as a result there is a low likelihood of casualties and damage.

No tsunami warnings have been issued.

This quake comes on the back of a M4.3 that hit 35km W of Taupo, New Zealand on 09th Sept at 16:10 UTC, at a depth of 156km.
