Heavy Rains and Extreme Hail Cause Flash Flooding in Central Europe
Heavy rains and extreme hail hit central Europe on Wednesday evening, with Landeck, Austria the worst affected.
The areas of Schnann Tirol and Pettneu am Arlberg were severely flooded as a landslide blocked the Rosanna river causing it to burst its banks.

“In Pettneu and Schnann there was heavy rain and extreme hail,” said Landeck’s district fire department commander Hermann Wolf.
The water from the dammed Rosanna tore down streets, destroying anything in its path.
