Golf-Ball-Sized Hail Lays Waste to Crops in Pokhara, Nepal

A severe hailstorm struck Pokhara, Nepal earlier this week laying waste to crops worth millions of rupees.​

The monster hail inflicted heavy damage to crops in many districts. Some of the worst affected were Kaskikot, Dhikurpokhari, Bhadauri, Sarangkot, Pumdibhumdi, Hemja, Malepatan, Masbar, Pasang, Charepatan, Kristi, Lamachaur, Dhumpus, and Dhital.

According to Manohar Kadariya, Chief of Agriculture Department in Pokhara Metropolitan City, the hailstorm destroyed both seasonal and off-season crops, as well as fruits.
