Early Season Snow Blankets Parts of the Arabian Desert

Early season snow is again falling in parts of the Arabian Peninsula, coating its deserts in a layer of powder.

Northern Saudi cities, including Ha’il, al-Jouf and Tabuk experienced yet another round of snow this week, bringing both joy and misery to its residents.

Earlier in November, snow and hail fell as far south as Maysan, in the country’s southwest.

Maysan is known for its luscious fruit farms of grapes, pomegranates and tomatoes.

The early blanket of snow came as a shock to the locals.

Low temperature records continue to fall.

Early season snow continues to build.
