April Blizzard Buries Iceland Under 5 ft (1.5 m) of Snow: Hveragerdi residents called it “the largest snow they had ever seen in their town”

Blizzard conditions battered much of Iceland this past weekend, dumping up to 5 ft (1.5 m) of global warming goodness on the Nordic island nation through Sunday alone.

Heavy snow and total whiteout conditions spared few regions, and red warnings –Iceland’s highest level of alert– were issued nationwide.

In Hveragerdi, located in Southwest Iceland, residents had to dig themselves out of their homes following what was reportedly the “the largest snow they had ever seen in their town.”

And in the Northern fishing town of Sigluforder the story was the same, with buildings, cars and streets buried under feet of snow.

“This is perhaps the worst weather [of the season], given how extensive it was and given how many territories it affected,” said local meteorologist Einar Sveinbjornsson. And it comes after what had just been “a long, snowy, windy, winter,” according to @powderhounds1, and just as the hope of spring had sprung.

In addition, several large avalanches were recorded around the Suganda Fjord on April 6. Two of them actually reached the water, causing a tsunami that hit the opposite shore in Suðureyri.

The avalanche risk remains high across the northern West Fjords, with at least one farm and a small industrial city evacuated for safe measure.

The COLD TIMES are returning in line with historically low solar activitycloud-nucleating Cosmic Rays, and a meridional jet stream flow.

Even NASA agrees, in part at least, with their forecast for this upcoming solar cycle (25) revealing it will be “the weakest of the past 200 years,” with the agency correlating previous solar shutdowns to prolonged periods of global cooling here.

Don’t fall for bogus warm-mongering political agendas — our future is one of ever-descending COLD & CROP LOSS.
